Q: $135 is a lot to pay for a tryout fee. What happens if my son/daughter is not selected for a team?
A: You have two options. 1.) You can have SGAA apply that $135 directly to a spring recreational hockey registration. If you are not interested in playing recreational league hockey, 2.) SGAA will refund your tryout fee to you minus a small $10.00 administrative fee. If you make the team, this $135 is applied toward your overall program fees of $260/$155 + Tournament fees.
Q: Who is going to coach my son/daughter?
A: Right now we are in the process of taking applications for the head coaching positions. We hope to announce our first set of head coaches very soon. Who better to coach a travel player than a person who has played travel hockey for years? We are currently seeking former players who have experiencing playing tournament hockey and do not have a child on the team themselves.
Q: When are the practices?
A: We have built a tentative practice schedule for the age divisions for the season. This schedule is subject to change based on the number of teams we end up having for the season.
- 8U -- Mondays at 7:00 pm
- 10U -- Tuesdays at 8:00 pm
- 12U -- Wednesday at 7:00 pm or Tuesday at 8:00 pm
- 14U -- Wednesday at 8:00 pm or Thursday at 8:00 pm
- 16U -- Wednesday at 7:00 pm
- 18U -- Wednesday at 8:00 pm

Travel Players Needed!
We are currently seeking skaters and goalies to fill the 2010 team rosters. All players must register online before they can attend the tryout sessions. Registration is currently open and will close at 5:00 PM on Friday, February 12, 2010. The registration page also has a link to a downloadable copy of the program’s Tryout Packet. Please take a few minutes to read this document as it contains very important information such as tryout dates and times, fee descriptions, what is included in the program, what safety equipment is needed for tryouts, etc.
Program Price Includes Spring Recreational Hockey Too!
2010 spring recreational hockey league is included in the program fee. Players will still be required to attend the spring recreational tryout. The travel program fees for goalies are lower than that for skaters. This is because goalies will continue to receive free registration for the spring recreational hockey league.
