COACHES MEETING MONDAY, MARCH 2nd @ 6:00pm

COST: $450 / TEAM
Games will be played at JEFFERSON MIDDLE SCHOOL

The league will consist of 8 teams- the first 8 teams to pay in full will have a secured spot. All monies must be received prior to or at the beginning of the coaches meeting. 

All teams will have 8 games with a championship tournament at the end of the season. 
Games will be played on Sunday afternoons at Jefferson Middle School.

Rules are governed by GHSA with the exception of a few house rules.

ADULT BASKETBALL LEAGUE RULES

I. RULES

*The league shall be governed by GHSA except for the rules listed.

*All games will be played on Sunday afternoons at the Jefferson Middle School Gym.

*Once a player has played in a game with a team, he/she may NOT play with any other team in that season.

*Teams must have five (5) players to start.

*Teams MUST have basketball eligible numbers (0 through 5 are LEGAL numbers)

(6 through 9 are ILLEGAL numbers).

*Player jersey’s must have a heat pressed or screen printed number on their shirt. (No taping on numbers).

*Any person 16 years old and above are allowed to participate in the league.

*The game shall consist of two twenty minute halves with a running clock.

                -The first 18 minutes of each half the clock will only stop for timeouts and injuries.

                -The last 2 minutes of each half, the clock will stop on each whistle.

*Mercy Rule:  If a team is leading by 20 points within the last 2 minutes of the game, then the clock will remain a continuous clock.

*Teams will be allowed two (2) timeouts per half. Timeouts do not carry over to the second half.


II. PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

*Any player ejected from a game is automatically suspended for the remainder of that game and their team’s next scheduled game.

*Verbal abuse of officials, staff, coaches, and/or players will not be tolerated.

*NO dunking will be allowed before, during, or after the game. Players dunking the ball will be given a technical foul and no points will be awarded to the team.

*A technical foul may be called for any of the following actions:

                -Dunking, flagrant fouls, verbal or behavioral (verbally taunts an opposing player, coach, officials, and/or spectators), and/or intentional fouls.

                **NOTE: Two technical fouls by the same player in the same game will result in an ejection.

*Two (2) officials will be scheduled for each game and a scorekeeper. Should an official be late for a game, or unable to attend, the game will start and continue with one (1) official.

*IF A TEAM RECEIVES THREE (3) TECHNICAL FOULS IN A SINGLE GAME, THEIR TEAM WILL AUTOMATICALLY FORFEIT THE GAME AT THE TIME THE 3RD TECHNICAL FOUL OCCURS!

*Coaches/Managers ARE RESPONSIBLE for their own teams conduct as well as knowing and understanding the rules of the league.



*The Jefferson Parks & Recreation Department (JPRD) reserves the right to maintain, amend, or restructure any rules at any time. These occurrences are when the JPRD deems a change is necessary for the betterment of the League.
